The DrainGuard System Information
The DrainGuard is a product designed to catch debris from the down spout in order to protect a perimeter drain or a rain water collecting systems. Perimeter drains can be very expensive to clean, and depending on the amount of foliage and rainfall in a given area they can become quickly clogged.
The DrainGuard was developed as a preventative component to add valuable life to a perimeter drainage system and help prevent water damage to home structures from clogged drains. As you can see in the pictures, the DrainGuard is very easy to install, maintain and also offers a self cleaning basket option. All to give a homeowner an added sense of security. For those people who do not have a perimeter drainage system but do have rainwater collection, the DrainGuard is a must as it keeps unwanted debris from collecting and rotting in the collection system. Rotting material changes the ph balance of water which can cause severe damage to plans and grass.
The GutterMate Funnels were designed to go hand in hand with the DrainGuard The object of the funnel is to open up the existing gutter down spout for optimum flow and pressure. All forms of debris from small pine needles to large maple leaves are flushed from gutters and will be filtered out or trapped by the DrainGuard depending upon the Preferred option.
The GutterMate and wide mouth funnels are available in the main sizes, the 2x3 and the 4x3, they are also available in two formats, the "A" funnel and the "B" funnel.
